Capuchins Welcome Two New Postulants

Two men were formally received by the Capuchin Franciscans on September 17th, the Feast of the Stigmata of St. Francis, as postulants for the Western America Province. The simple ceremony took place during Vespers in the Nuova Porziuncola at the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi in San Francisco, CA.

During the ceremony William Cisneros and Nikolas Barth were presented with Tau crosses as an outward sign of their stage of formation. The Province’s Postulancy Director, Fr. Hai Ho, formally presented the postulants to Provincial Minister, Fr. Harold Snider, who in turn presented both of them with their Tau crosses.

The new postulants will be spend the next ten months of their vocational journey getting to know the friars and their ministries, learning the Capuchin Franciscan way of life, working with the marginalized of society, and deepening their prayer life.
