Province highlights

The Capuchin Franciscan Friars are a Roman Catholic religious order of brothers and priests inspired by the life and ideals of St. Francis of Assisi and living a life prayer and service to others. The friars of the Western America Province seek to serve Christ in a variety of ministries throughout California and Northern Mexico and to be a joyful presence of hope and salvation to all, especially to those most in need.

O God, who restore us to eternal life
in the Resurrection of Christ, raise us up, we pray, to the author of our salvation,
who is seated at your right hand,
so that, when our Savior comes again in majesty,
those you have given new birth in Baptism may be clothed with blessed immortality.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
